John had a good job working for a trucking company delivering RV materials. But when a state trooper took his license away because he had no insurance, it was the end of the road. "I couldn't afford to pay the fine; the company wouldn't keep me on and without a license, I couldn't get another job."

When John's money ran out, he lived in his van here in Elkhart. But when winter storms started moving in, he came to Faith Mission. Today, he's helping run the Mission's food storage warehouse, giving back to those who helped him when he was in need.

It's a big job, and the Mission is making sure John gets the computer training he needs to handle it. "Now that the men's program is in the new Mission, we’ve gone from 80 beds to over 100 and from having two shifts to eat to having everyone eat together.
